About the Role
The University of Benin (UNIBEN) invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Tutor II (CONTISS 07). Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, practical training, and tutorials to undergraduate students in vocational and technical education.
- Specialize in teaching practical modules including digital technology and GSM repairs, fashion design and garment making, and electrical/electronic works.
- Assist senior academic staff in curriculum development, lesson planning, and updating course materials to meet industry standards.
- Supervise student practical sessions, workshop activities, and continuous assessment projects.
- Participate in departmental meetings, invigilation of examinations, and other academic administrative duties as assigned by the Head of Department.
- Possession of a good honours degree (not below Second-Class Lower Division) in Vocational and Technical Education.
- Specialization in Digital Technology and GSM Repairs, Fashion Design and Garment Making, or Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
- Mandatory possession of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Discharge Certificate or Exemption Letter.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and teaching skills with a passion for student mentorship.
