About the Role
Kloverharris Limited is a leading human resource and IT consulting company providing high-quality services to businesses across Africa. We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Truck Driver to join our dynamic logistics team in Asaba. In this role, you will play a vital part in our supply chain operations by ensuring the safe, timely, and efficient transportation of goods to various destinations while adhering strictly to road safety standards and company policies.
Key Responsibilities- Safely operate company trucks for the transportation and delivery of goods across assigned routes.
- Ensure all goods are properly loaded, securely fastened, and delivered to the correct destinations.
- Conduct thorough daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections on the truck, reporting any mechanical faults or maintenance needs promptly.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all trips, delivery schedules, fuel consumption, and vehicle conditions.
- Comply with all Nigerian road safety regulations, traffic laws, and internal company driving policies.
- Assist warehouse staff with the physical loading and unloading of cargo when required.
- Maintain the cleanliness and optimal working condition of the assigned vehicle at all times.
- Report any accidents, traffic delays, mechanical breakdowns, or transit incidents to management immediately.
- Minimum of SSCE/WAEC or equivalent educational qualification.
- Possession of a valid, appropriate professional Driver’s Licence for heavy-duty trucks.
- Minimum of 3 years of proven professional driving experience as a truck or heavy-duty vehicle driver.
- Extensive knowledge of Nigerian roads, major transport routes, and regional geography.
- Strong working knowledge of basic automotive maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Ability to work flexible hours, adapt to changing schedules, and undertake long-distance travel when necessary.
- Prior working experience in logistics, haulage, or transportation sectors will be an added advantage.
