About the Role
Kloverharris Limited is a leading human resource and IT consulting firm dedicated to driving optimal business performance across Africa. We are currently seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our dynamic logistics team in Ota. In this role, you will play a vital part in our supply chain operations by ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely transportation of goods to various destinations, maintaining our high standards of service excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Safely operate company trucks for the transportation and timely delivery of goods to designated locations.
- Ensure all cargo is properly loaded, secured, and protected against damage during transit.
- Conduct thorough daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections on the truck and report any mechanical faults or maintenance issues immediately.
- Follow assigned routes meticulously while adhering strictly to delivery schedules and traffic laws.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all trips, deliveries, fuel consumption, and vehicle conditions.
- Comply fully with Nigerian road safety regulations, traffic laws, and company driving policies at all times.
- Assist with physical loading and unloading of goods when required at pickup and delivery points.
- Ensure the interior and exterior of the truck are kept clean, presentable, and in optimal working condition.
- Report any accidents, delays, road hazards, or vehicle breakdowns promptly to management.
- Minimum of an SSCE/WAEC or equivalent educational qualification.
- Possession of a valid, current Driver's Licence appropriate for heavy-duty commercial trucks.
- Minimum of 3 years of proven professional experience as a truck driver or heavy-duty vehicle operator.
- Extensive knowledge of Nigerian roads, major interstate routes, and navigation within Ota and surrounding areas.
- Strong working knowledge of basic vehicle troubleshooting and routine maintenance practices.
- Flexibility to work adaptable hours and undertake long-distance travel as business needs require.
- Prior working experience in logistics, haulage, or supply chain transportation will be a strong added advantage.
