About the Role
Nepal Energy, a leader in the importation, warehousing, and distribution of petroleum products in Nigeria, is seeking a diligent and experienced Treasury Officer to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing our daily cash flow, optimizing liquidity, and ensuring seamless banking operations to support our extensive fleet and retail network.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor daily cash positions and manage overall cash flow requirements to support seamless business operations.
- Process and monitor payments, fund transfers, and other essential treasury transactions accurately.
- Prepare comprehensive daily, weekly, and monthly cash flow reports for management review.
- Perform regular bank reconciliations and promptly investigate and resolve any financial discrepancies.
- Liaise proactively with commercial banks regarding account-related matters and operational transactions.
- Maintain adequate funds across company bank accounts to meet ongoing operational demands.
- Support foreign exchange transactions, monitor applicable exchange rates, and assist with liquidity forecasting.
- Ensure strict compliance with treasury policies, approval limits, and internal financial controls.
- Facilitate internal and external audits by providing accurate treasury records and documentation.
- Identify, evaluate, and report any unusual transactions or potential financial risks immediately.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 to 4 years of proven experience in a treasury or finance role, preferably within the oil and gas or energy sector.
- Strong understanding of cash flow management, banking operations, and financial reconciliations.
- Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
