About the Role
VanRentalsNG is a fast-growing independent inland transportation and logistics service provider headquartered in Lagos, offering reliable van and truck hire services for domestic and corporate clients. We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Transport Agent (Marketing Officer) to join our expanding team in Jos. In this role, you will leverage your knowledge of the local business environment to connect manufacturers, distributors, traders, and farmers with our top-tier logistics and haulage solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and develop new customer accounts requiring haulage, logistics, and transportation services.
- Build, nurture, and maintain strong, lasting relationships with local businesses and prospective clients.
- Conduct regular field visits to companies, markets, warehouses, factories, and agricultural hubs to promote our transport solutions.
- Source available transport and haulage opportunities within Jos and neighboring states.
- Negotiate competitive transportation rates and favorable service terms professionally.
- Monitor local market trends and competitor activities to identify new business expansion opportunities.
- Represent VanRentalsNG with utmost professionalism in all client and partner interactions.
- Minimum of SSCE, OND, HND, or Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Logistics, Transport Management, or a related field.
- Previous experience in marketing, logistics, haulage, transportation, or sales is a distinct advantage.
- Strong, demonstrable knowledge of the Jos business environment and local commercial networks.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Must be proactive, confident, target-oriented, and comfortable with intensive field marketing.
- Access to a smartphone with proficiency in using WhatsApp and social media for business development.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision to achieve set targets.
