About the Role
Coscharis Group, a leading multinational conglomerate with a diverse portfolio spanning automobiles, technology, and lifestyle products, is seeking a professional and reliable Truck / Tipper Driver. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of materials and goods across designated routes, upholding our commitment to operational excellence and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Safely operate heavy-duty trucks and tippers to transport goods and materials to designated sites in a timely and efficient manner.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, checking oil, fuel, tires, brakes, and fluid levels.
- Adhere strictly to all Nigerian traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company driving policies.
- Maintain accurate logs of daily trips, fuel consumption, mileage, and cargo deliveries.
- Report any mechanical faults, accidents, or near-misses immediately to the fleet management team.
- Ensure proper loading, securing, and offloading of materials to prevent damage during transit.
- Keep the assigned truck clean and in optimal roadworthy condition at all times.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of proven professional driving experience operating heavy-duty trucks or tippers.
- Possession of a valid Nigerian commercial driver's license and relevant state certifications (such as LASDRR).
- In-depth knowledge of major Nigerian routes, inter-state highways, and traffic laws.
- Good physical fitness with the ability to withstand long hours of driving and assist with loading activities.
- Strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and defensive driving techniques.
- Good communication skills and the ability to maintain a professional demeanor.
- Residency around Lagos Island or close proximity to designated company operational hubs.
