About the Role
SIMS Nigeria Limited, a leading distributor and manufacturer of renowned consumer electronics such as Samsung, Royal, Parsun, and Powermatic, is looking for a dynamic Consumer Electronics Trainer. In this role, you will be instrumental in equipping our sales, technical, and customer service teams with the product knowledge and practical skills required to excel. You will ensure our workforce can effectively demonstrate, sell, install, troubleshoot, and maintain top-tier home appliances across our nationwide branches in Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Kano, and beyond.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver comprehensive training programmes on Televisions, Air Conditioners, washing machines, and refrigerators.
- Conduct classroom, practical, and on-the-job training sessions for diverse internal teams.
- Train technical personnel on basic installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and fault diagnosis while emphasizing safety procedures.
- Equip sales teams with effective product demonstrations, selling points, competitive comparisons, and objection-handling techniques.
- Create engaging training materials, manuals, presentations, product guides, and assessment tools using software like PowerPoint, Canva, and Excel.
- Conduct product knowledge assessments, practical tests, and competency evaluations to identify skill gaps.
- Collaborate with Sales, Technical, Customer Service, and Product teams to align training initiatives with company goals.
- Maintain accurate records of training sessions, track employee performance, and evaluate overall training effectiveness.
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 to 4 years of hands-on experience in consumer electronics, technical training, product training, or equipment servicing.
- Strong technical expertise in Televisions, Air Conditioners, refrigerators, and washing machines.
- Exceptional presentation, facilitation, and communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Canva, and other digital training tools.
- Willingness to travel to various SIMS branches, service centres, and operational locations across Nigeria as required.
