About the Role
Heritage Energy Operational Services Limited (HEOSL) is a premier operator in the Nigerian oil and gas sector, managing the flagship OML 30 asset in the Niger Delta. We are committed to exploring underappreciated basins to create sustainable value for all stakeholders, including host communities, government partners, and shareholders. We are currently looking for a dynamic Associate Technical Planner to join our Portfolio Management team and contribute to our strategic business objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Provide petroleum engineering input to the Annual Work Program, budget activities, and strategic business planning processes.
- Contribute to the technical and commercial evaluation of petroleum reserves, resource bookings, and data workflow automation.
- Support short-, medium-, and long-term oil and gas production forecasting exercises for the asset budget planning cycle.
- Generate and maintain the Annual Reservoir Performance Report to communicate reservoir performance status and corrective actions.
- Track production deferment, perform sensitivity analysis, and guide operations management on optimization opportunities.
- Perform basic petroleum economic analysis, creaming curve generation, and manage Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) operations.
- Deliver monthly and annual regulatory reports alongside technical documentation and presentation slide packs for management.
- Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Petroleum Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Geoscience.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with at least 2 years focused on upstream data.
- Full understanding of upstream data types, data management concepts, and ETL operations.
- Working knowledge of programming languages such as Python, R, C++, Java, or VBA macros is a strong advantage.
- Demonstrated expertise using PowerBI, Tableau, or similar data visualization tools.
- Strong mathematical, statistical, and exceptional analytical skills with solid business acumen.
