About the Role

We are currently looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Trainee Piping Design Engineer with a strong focus on Point Cloud and 3D Modelling to support our growing technical services and laser scanning operations. Key Responsibilities- Assist senior engineers in developing accurate 3D piping models using advanced Point Cloud data and laser scanning outputs.
- Participate in the creation and modification of piping and instrumentation diagrams (P and IDs) and isometric drawings.
- Conduct clash detection analyses and assist in resolving design discrepancies within engineering models.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across marine, petrochemical, and oil and gas projects.
- Ensure all engineering designs comply with relevant industry standards, codes, and project specifications.
- Maintain proper documentation of all design modifications, technical reports, and project files.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Basic understanding of piping design principles, 3D modelling software, and Point Cloud processing.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and spatial reasoning skills.
- Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities with a strong eagerness to learn.
- Fresh graduates with relevant internship experience or National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members are encouraged to apply.
