About the Role
HReade is recruiting a skilled Toolpusher on behalf of our client in the oil and gas sector to oversee overall rig operations, personnel, equipment, and resources. In this critical leadership role, you will ensure that approved well programs are executed safely, efficiently, and productively while maintaining strict adherence to regulatory standards and company policies across land drilling locations in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the planning and efficient execution of drilling and workover programs in collaboration with client representatives and department heads.
- Oversee operational readiness, equipment maintenance, and the implementation of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Lead and coordinate complex rig move activities, including rig-down, transportation, and rig-up operations.
- Provide visible HSE leadership, ensuring emergency drills, safety audits, and permit-to-work procedures are strictly followed.
- Supervise rig personnel, manage operational performance, and coordinate third-party contractors on location.
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in drilling and workover operations, with at least 2 years as a Toolpusher or Rig Manager.
- Bachelor's Degree, HND, or recognized technical qualification in Engineering or a related discipline.
- Valid Well Control Certification, medical fitness certificate, and relevant land rig HSE certifications.
- Extensive expertise in well control principles, land rig mechanics, and operational budgeting.
