About the Role
Engineering Automation Technology Limited (EATECH) is a leading indigenous engineering services provider in Nigeria, committed to innovative technology, stringent statutory compliance, and exceptional service delivery across the oil and gas sector. We are currently looking for a dynamic and results-driven Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the inspection, servicing, preventive maintenance, and repair of our heavy construction, lifting, welding, and power-generation equipment. In this critical role, you will ensure optimal equipment availability and safety across our fabrication yards, workshops, and remote project sites while leading a dedicated team of technical professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain high equipment availability and reliability through disciplined preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
- Ensure all maintenance operations strictly comply with company procedures, client specifications, OEM recommendations, and relevant statutory obligations.
- Drive a strong safety culture by conducting thorough risk assessments, managing permit-to-work systems, and supervising safe execution to prevent incidents.
- Provide competent technical leadership and mentorship to mechanical, electrical, and multi-skilled maintenance personnel and contractors.
- Maintain comprehensive equipment histories, statutory certification records, work orders, and maintenance performance reports using CMMS platforms.
- Drive continuous improvement by conducting root-cause analysis on repeat failures to reduce repair times, lifecycle costs, and unplanned downtime.
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Automotive, or a related engineering discipline.
- 7-10 years of hands-on experience in heavy equipment maintenance, construction machinery, or oil and gas facilities, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong working knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, rotating equipment, generators, cranes, and industrial electrical systems.
- Recognized occupational health and safety certifications such as NEBOSH or IOSH.
- Proven experience utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) such as SAP PM or IBM Maximo.
- Familiarity with third-party inspection processes, statutory equipment certifications, and regulatory compliance in Nigeria.
