At Dangote Cement Plc, we are currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven Power Plant Operations Manager to join our esteemed team and drive operational excellence in our power generation facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage general shift activities to ensure optimal power plant performance, strict adherence to safety standards, and environmental compliance.
  • Organize and control scheduled testing of firefighting systems while maintaining up-to-date documentation.
  • Support the Operations Section Head in developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for critical activities and conducting in-house training to enhance field staff skills.
  • Ensure pristine housekeeping and oversee power plant area cleaning activities to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Accurately post power plant production data into SAP without errors and maintain comprehensive production reports.
  • Monitor equipment healthiness and update pending job lists to facilitate proactive maintenance planning.
  • Provide strategic guidance and support to shift staff for the proper handling of operational emergencies.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a relevant discipline.
  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years of relevant plant work experience, specifically within gas-based power plant operations.
  • In-depth understanding of complex power plant systems and cross-system interactions.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in SAP production report preparation and office productivity tools.
  • Strong problem-solving, data gathering, communication, and team-building skills.
