About the Role
Infratel Africa is a leading telecommunication infrastructure service provider in Nigeria and Sub-Saharan Africa, delivering cutting-edge RAN, backhaul, and power-as-a-service solutions. We are currently looking for a skilled MOPA Cluster Engineer to join our expanding technical team and maintain the integrity of our critical network infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Perform daily status checks on the most critical network services and infrastructure.
- Configure and respond to system alerts promptly to minimize downtime.
- Conduct daily in-depth network health checks, reviewing logs and monitoring resources such as CPU, memory, disk utilization, and traffic on BSCs, switches, and routers.
- Provide advanced technical support and guidance to internal engineering teams.
- Troubleshoot live production platforms and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
- Liaise directly with external platform providers and vendors to resolve escalated network anomalies.
- Execute comprehensive tasks related to network optimization and systems administration.
- Provide reliable out-of-hours on-call support on a regular rotating basis.
- Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in telecom network operations, infrastructure management, or cluster engineering.
- Strong working knowledge of BSCs, routers, switches, and core network monitoring tools.
- Proven expertise in live platform troubleshooting, log analysis, and performance monitoring.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills for vendor liaison.
- Ability to work flexible hours and participate in regular out-of-hours support rotations.
