About the Role
Pan-Afrique Maritime Limited, a leading wholly indigenous maritime company registered in Nigeria, is currently seeking a dedicated and competent Third Engineer to join our expanding fleet. We specialize in comprehensive ship management, crewing, and maritime consultancy, ensuring the protection and professional growth of indigenous seafarers in compliance with NIMASA regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Second Engineer with the safe operation, maintenance, and repair of all main propulsion machinery and auxiliary equipment.
- Monitor machinery performance, conduct routine inspections, and maintain accurate engine room logs.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety management systems, environmental regulations, and company operating procedures onboard.
- Participate actively in bunkering operations, ballast transfers, and emergency response drills as assigned.
- Maintain proper inventory of engine room spares, tools, and safety equipment, reporting any shortages to senior management.
- Valid STCW III/1 certification with Unlimited endorsement.
- Minimum of 12 months of sea-time experience in the rank of Third Engineer on the same vessel type within the offshore sector.
- Valid mandatory maritime certificates, NIMASA discharge book, and medical fitness certificates.
