About the Role
Dangote Group, Africa's leading industrial conglomerate, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Head, Power Plant to join our esteemed team in Nigeria. In this critical leadership role, you will direct all operational, maintenance, and safety functions of our power generation facility, ensuring uninterrupted power supply to our cement manufacturing operations in alignment with strict company standards and production targets.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee daily operations and maintenance of the power plant in strict accordance with manufacturer manuals and corporate standards.
- Manage gas supply operations and contracts with the Nigerian Gas Marketing Limited (NGML) efficiently.
- Oversee long-term service agreements with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) for gas turbine generators.
- Ensure full environmental compliance and uphold rigorous occupational health and safety standards across the facility.
- Manage the procurement of spare parts, monitor operating and maintenance budgets, and verify gas bills.
- Lead workforce training, development, and performance optimization initiatives to drive overall plant efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering (Power option), or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 20 years of proven operational experience in gas turbine-based power plants.
- At least 5 years of demonstrated leadership experience as a Head of Power Plant or in a similar senior capacity.
