About the Role
APM Terminals, a global leader in port operations and container management, is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Terminal Procurement Manager to join our team at APM Terminals Apapa, Nigeria. In this role, you will execute the full Source-to-Pay value stream, delivering strategic sourcing initiatives that align with our annual budget, operational priorities, and long-term business goals. You will play a vital part in driving cost leadership, fostering strong supplier relationships, and maintaining a resilient supply chain in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Lead end-to-end procurement activities, ensuring strict adherence to Source-to-Contract processes for terminal projects.
- Develop and execute comprehensive Annual Procurement Plans, Sourcing Plans, and Cost Plans aligned with terminal priorities.
- Drive cost leadership across assigned categories and promote cost-conscious decision-making across all business functions.
- Manage critical supplier performance and relationships, conducting proactive engagement with non-category-managed suppliers.
- Ensure full compliance with APMT Procurement Standards, GRC controls, Sustainable Procurement, and Joint Business Review activities.
- Collaborate with terminal leadership on annual budget preparation and continuous procurement improvement opportunities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- 2 to 5+ years of professional experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, supply chain, or engineering planning within industry, infrastructure, or port environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in RFx processes, contract implementation, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), and supplier evaluation.
- Proficiency in using ERP procurement systems, inventory software, and digital sourcing tools.
- Exceptional negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to thrive in a multicultural setting.
