About the Role
GIG Logistics, a leading courier and logistics services provider in Nigeria, is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Terminal Operations Manager to oversee our terminal activities in the South East region. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for driving efficiency, managing regional resources, and ensuring top-tier service delivery across our service centres.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the daily operations of the assigned terminal within the South East region, ensuring strict compliance with company standards and operational procedures.
- Lead, supervise, and support terminal employees to achieve operational excellence and align with business objectives.
- Ensure efficient fleet utilization, timely vehicle departures and arrivals, and effective coordination with the Fleet and Maintenance teams.
- Drive exceptional customer experience by maintaining service quality, resolving escalated customer issues, and implementing service improvement initiatives.
- Monitor regional operational performance, analyse key performance indicators (KPIs), and prepare periodic reports with actionable recommendations.
- Ensure full compliance with safety regulations, transport laws, company policies, and operational risk management requirements.
- Manage regional operational budgets and resources effectively to optimize costs and improve overall profitability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, Finance, Tech, and Maintenance, to support seamless business operations.
- Conduct regular terminal audits, identify operational gaps, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 to 6 years of proven experience in terminal operations, logistics, or supply chain management, preferably within the courier industry.
- Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and strong proficiency in analyzing operational KPIs.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and transport laws in Nigeria.
