About the Role

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is seeking a dedicated and experienced Temple Facilities Manager to ensure our facilities reflect the utmost beauty, cleanliness, and sacred nature of the temple experience. In this vital role, you will provide functional leadership to multidisciplinary teams including custodial, grounds, and security personnel while overseeing approximately 70,000 square feet of sacred space and ancillary buildings. You will act as the most senior functional expert on-site, driving operational excellence and maintaining the highest standards during both peak usage and closed periods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Directly manage a team of 10-20 employees, providing comprehensive on-site and remote training, coaching, and performance management in partnership with HR.
  • Oversee complex annual operational plans, capital expenditure projects, and maintenance of intricate electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and audio-visual systems.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for local government authorities, architects, general contractors, and key ecclesiastical stakeholders regarding facility compliance and permitting.
  • Manage departmental labor costs, third-party vendor relationships, and oversee rigorous project closeout procedures including as-built drawings and warranties.

Qualifications
  • Four-year degree in facilities management, project management, civil engineering, or a related field (Master's degree strongly preferred).
  • Minimum of 6 years of professional facilities management experience, or a combined total of 10 years of education and relevant industry experience.
  • Comprehensive technical knowledge of building systems, including boiler and chiller operations, electrical distribution, and plumbing.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in business professional English, alongside a valid driver's license and current passport for travel.
