About the Role
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is seeking a dedicated and skilled Temple Facilities Assistant 2 to join our team in Nigeria. In this important professional role, you will help maintain and operate our sacred temple facilities to the highest standards established by leadership. You will ensure that all physical plants operate efficiently, safely, and seamlessly to provide an uplifting environment for all patrons.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Temple Facilities Manager with routine maintenance planning, vendor coordination, and budget tracking utilizing specialized software tools.
- Ensure computerized HVAC systems, boilers, cooling towers, and water treatment equipment operate at maximum efficiency and comply with local standards.
- Maintain electrical systems including high-voltage three-phase wiring, motor control systems, and specialized lighting installations.
- Perform critical maintenance on plumbing, laundry facilities, and water purification systems including baptismal font filtration.
- Inspect, clean, and repair electronic systems, communication cables, uninterruptible power supplies, and audio-visual equipment.
- Supervise facilities assistants and step in to manage plant operations in the absence of the Temple Facilities Manager.
- Bachelor's degree, HND, OND, Trade Test Certificate, City & Guilds certification, or equivalent technical qualification in HVAC, Electrical, Mechanical, Building Technology, or Facilities Management.
- Minimum of 4 years of progressively responsible experience in facilities maintenance, building operations, or a specialized trade.
- Working knowledge of health and safety practices, including hazard identification and the proper use of personal protective equipment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and computerized maintenance management systems.
- Valid driver's license and the physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg) independently.
