We are currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated Technologist in Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering to join our vibrant academic community in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a crucial part in bridging theoretical knowledge and practical application, ensuring our state-of-the-art laboratories and workshops operate smoothly to support world-class teaching and innovative research.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive technical support for mechanical and mechatronics engineering laboratories and workshops.
- Maintain, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair specialized engineering equipment, tools, and machinery.
- Assist academic staff during practical laboratory sessions, demonstrations, and student project execution.
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards within all workshop and laboratory spaces.
- Manage inventory, order required materials, and keep accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance schedules.
- Train students and junior staff on the proper operation and safety protocols of advanced engineering apparatus.
- Possession of at least a Bachelor degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Relevant hands-on laboratory, workshop, and equipment maintenance experience, preferably within a tertiary institution or advanced technical environment.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and proficiency in diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical and electronic systems.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills with a passion for student success and collaborative learning.
