About the Role
Doviana College of Education, an approved private tertiary institution by the National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE) located in Gboko, Benue State, is seeking a dedicated and competent Technologist to join our academic support team. In this role, you will play a vital part in fostering practical learning, maintaining technical facilities, and supporting our mission to produce well-motivated, highly disciplined, and professionally competent teachers for the Nigerian educational sector and beyond.
Key Responsibilities- Assist academic staff in laboratory and practical instruction sessions.
- Prepare practical materials, specimens, and equipment for demonstrations and classes.
- Maintain laboratories, workshops, and technical facilities in optimal working condition.
- Ensure strict compliance with institutional and national laboratory safety standards.
- Support institutional research initiatives and practical demonstrations.
- Maintain accurate inventories and comprehensive laboratory records.
- Bachelor Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) plus a Professional Diploma in Education (PDE) or Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) in a relevant technology or laboratory discipline.
- Current registration and valid practicing license with relevant professional regulatory councils where applicable.
- Minimum of two years of post-qualification practical experience in a laboratory, workshop, or related educational institution.
- Proficiency in computer literacy and modern digital productivity tools.
- Strong commitment to educational excellence, high ethical standards, and professionalism.
- Membership in relevant professional associations will be an added advantage.
