About the Role
TAAS College, Ibadan, a reputable co-educational institution established in the Islamic tradition, is seeking a qualified, experienced, and dedicated Quran, Arabic and Islamic Religious Studies (QAIS) Teacher (Mallam). Located in a serene and conducive environment at Bode Igbo, Ibadan, our school is committed to blending high academic standards with sound Islamic moral upbringing. We are looking for an inspiring educator who can effectively impact students at the primary and secondary school levels.
Key Responsibilities- Teach Quran recitation, Tajweed, Arabic Language, and Islamic Religious Studies effectively in line with the school curriculum.
- Guide students in Quran memorization (Hifdh) and instill proper Islamic etiquette (Adab).
- Prepare comprehensive lesson plans, engaging class activities, assignments, and periodic examinations.
- Monitor and evaluate students' academic progress and moral development, providing supportive feedback.
- Participate actively in school programs, staff meetings, Islamic extracurricular activities, and other assigned duties.
- Possess a minimum of NCE, Diploma, B.Ed., B.A. (Ed.), B.A., or equivalent qualification in Arabic, Islamic Studies, Education, or a related field.
- Have 4 to 7 years of proven teaching experience in Quran, Arabic, and Islamic Studies within a structured school setting.
- Demonstrate excellent command of Tajweed rules, Quran memorization techniques, and Arabic grammar.
- Possess strong classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Be proficient in the use of basic ICT tools for modern teaching and administrative tasks.
- Reside in Ibadan or be willing to resume work immediately.
