About the Role

Key Responsibilities- Provide hands-on technical support for laboratory sessions, practical workshops, and research activities.
- Operate, maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot specialized technical equipment and machinery.
- Assist academic staff in preparing materials and demonstrations for practical classes and examinations.
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards within all laboratories and workspaces.
- Manage inventory of laboratory supplies, tools, and equipment, submitting timely requisitions for replacements.
- Guide and supervise students during practical sessions to ensure proper equipment handling and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with faculty members to develop and test new experimental procedures and technical setups.
- Minimum of a relevant Ordinary National Diploma (OND), Higher National Diploma (HND), or Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical or scientific discipline.
- Proven practical experience working as a technologist or in a similar technical support role within an educational institution or industry.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and proficiency in maintaining and repairing technical equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to assist students and staff effectively.
- Demonstrated commitment to maintaining high standards of workplace safety and organization.
