We are currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated Mechanical Technician L1&2 to join our thriving operations in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with shift technicians to swiftly identify and repair problematic plant machinery and equipment.
- Execute timely corrective maintenance and ensure adherence to established standard operating procedures.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and quality repairs while adhering to strict safety guidelines.
- Conduct equipment inspections, adjustments, and replacement of minor fixtures to maximize operational uptime.
- Perform root-cause analysis on breakdowns exceeding 30 minutes and report incidents promptly to sectional engineers.
- Maintain proper housekeeping by clearing all maintenance scraps and properly cleaning operating equipment.
- Log data for spare parts, consumables, and daily work orders accurately into ERP systems like SAP.
- Identify potential environmental and occupational health and safety hazards during daily tasks.
- Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- Alternatively, SSCE qualification with 10 years of relevant industrial experience.
- Trade Test I in a mechanical-related trade with at least 8 years of experience.
- Trade Test II in a mechanical-related trade with at least 16 years of experience.
- Basic understanding of cement production processes and in-depth knowledge of packing machines.
- Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
