About the Role
Beckley Consulting Limited is recruiting on behalf of our esteemed client, a leading offshore marine services company in Nigeria, for a dynamic and experienced Technical Superintendent. In this pivotal role, you will oversee marine technical operations, ensure vessel reliability, and maintain strict compliance with international maritime standards to support our client's expanding offshore fleet.
Key ResponsibilitiesOversee daily marine technical operations and manage comprehensive vessel maintenance schedules to guarantee maximum fleet reliability and safety.
- Ensure full compliance with ISM, ISPS, SOLAS, MARPOL, STCW, and NIMASA regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with Classification Societies, flag states, and port authorities for statutory surveys and certifications.
- Manage dry-docking, repairs, and technical projects for offshore support and security escort vessels.
- Prepare and manage technical budgets, cost control, and procurement of spare parts and marine equipment.
- Coordinate OVID and client-specific inspections, addressing any identified gaps promptly.
- Supervise onboard engineering teams and provide technical guidance for troubleshooting complex marine machinery.
- Minimum of an HND or Bachelor's Degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- A valid Certificate of Competency (CoC) as EOOW or 2nd Engineer is highly preferred.
- Proven professional experience in marine technical operations and vessel maintenance within the offshore maritime sector.
- In-depth knowledge of international maritime regulations, safety management systems, and classification society standards.
