About the Role

We are currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven Technical Sales Manager with established connections in the renewable energy sector to join our expanding team in Nigeria.

In this strategic role, you will lead our company growth initiatives within the renewable space, focusing heavily on solar projects, mini-grids, and commercial and industrial solar solutions. You will leverage your technical expertise and industry network to drive project development, build strategic partnerships, and close high-value business opportunities that positively influence our clients' bottom line.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive the development and financing of solar mini-grid projects, including feasibility studies, stakeholder engagement, and project structuring.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including regulators, financiers, communities, EPC partners, and equipment suppliers.
  • Lead proposal development such as RFP responses, concept notes, and comprehensive business cases for energy projects.
  • Collaborate closely with the technical team to assess project viability, accurate cost estimates, and precise technical requirements.
  • Develop and execute effective go-to-market strategies for new solar products, services, and technologies in Nigeria.
  • Analyze prevailing market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory frameworks to inform strategic business direction.
  • Represent the company at prominent industry events, conferences, and stakeholder forums to expand our professional network.
  • Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and financial projections for management and investors.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Physics, Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 4 to 6 years of proven experience in business development, project management, or commercial operations within the solar energy or power sector.
  • Demonstrated expertise in mini-grid project development, site identification, design coordination, and stakeholder management.
  • Strong technical understanding of solar energy systems, system design, and the regulatory environment in Nigeria and broader Africa.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, presentation, and analytical skills, including financial modeling for project evaluation.
  • Preferred: Prior experience in fundraising, proposal writing, or partnership development with development finance institutions and donor-funded programs.
