About the Role
The Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex (OAUTHC) is a premier healthcare institution committed to delivering exceptional medical services, cutting-edge training, and comprehensive research in Nigeria. We are currently seeking a proactive and skilled Assistant Technical Officer (Electrical) to maintain, repair, and ensure the optimal functioning of our electrical systems and equipment, thereby supporting uninterrupted healthcare delivery across our facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, fixtures, and equipment within the hospital complex.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical installations to identify faults, wear, and potential hazards.
- Promptly respond to electrical fault reports and carry out necessary troubleshooting and corrective repairs.
- Maintain accurate logs of all maintenance activities, equipment servicing, and inventory of electrical spare parts.
- Collaborate with senior technicians and engineering teams to execute complex infrastructural upgrade projects.
- Adhere strictly to safety standards, health regulations, and operational guidelines while performing technical duties.
- Candidates must possess an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Electrical Engineering or a closely related relevant engineering field from a recognized institution.
- Demonstrated practical knowledge of basic electrical wiring, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and readiness to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
