About the Role
Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex (OAUTHC) is looking for a qualified and motivated professional to fill the role of Assistant Technical Officer (Biomedical). As part of our dynamic biomedical engineering team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining, servicing, and troubleshooting vital medical equipment to ensure optimal healthcare delivery across our facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the routine maintenance, servicing, and repair of various biomedical and hospital equipment.
- Perform diagnostic tests on medical devices to ensure safety, accuracy, and operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate inventory and maintenance logs for all assigned medical hardware.
- Collaborate with senior engineering staff to install new medical machinery and technology.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols established by the hospital management and federal health guidelines.
- Candidates must possess an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a closely related engineering field from a recognised institution.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for technical detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment and respond promptly to equipment breakdown emergencies.
