About the Role
ZEZ Nigeria Limited is an esteemed technical support services provider in the Nigerian oil and gas industry, delivering customized procurement, supply, installation, and maintenance solutions through strategic partnerships with top Original Equipment Manufacturers. Headquartered in Lagos with operational hubs in Port Harcourt and Warri, we are expanding our team and looking for a technically strong and commercially driven Technical Sales Lead. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business development, procurement, technical teams, vendors, and clients to drive business growth and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the technical review of RFQs, tender documents, and complex client specifications.
- Collaborate with the Business Development team to develop technically accurate and commercially competitive proposals.
- Review vendor and OEM quotations for technical compliance, cost accuracy, and delivery feasibility.
- Coordinate and assign procurement activities to ensure timely and efficient RFQ execution.
- Develop effective vendor and OEM sourcing strategies to support highly competitive bids.
- Liaise seamlessly with Procurement, Finance, Ordering and Expediting, and project teams to ensure technical and commercial alignment.
- Review and approve critical technical submissions, including datasheets, OEM authorizations, TDS, MSDS, and compliance documentation.
- Represent the company in client meetings to provide expert technical clarification throughout the bidding process.
- Document valuable lessons learned from technical rejections, project delays, and bid outcomes to refine future strategies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Business, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in technical sales, business development, procurement, or engineering within the Energy or Oil and Gas industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in interpreting complex technical specifications, RFQs, tender documents, and OEM documentation.
- Strong commercial awareness with a solid understanding of project margins and cost optimization.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple bids and tight deadlines in a fast-paced corporate environment.
