About the Role
O.K. Isokariari & Sons (Nigeria) Limited is a leading Engineering, Procurement, and Construction company with over 45 years of industry excellence. We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Structural Engineer to drive the structural integrity, safety, and successful execution of our diverse construction and infrastructure projects in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare detailed structural designs, calculations, drawings, and specifications for building foundations, frames, and civil infrastructure.
- Utilize industry-standard engineering software to model, simulate, and analyze structural loads, stress tolerances, and material behaviors.
- Review architectural plans and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure structural feasibility and alignment with project specifications.
- Conduct routine site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress and ensure works strictly conform to approved structural designs and engineering codes.
- Assess construction materials such as concrete, steel, and reinforcement bars for quality compliance and adherence to statutory standards.
- Identify potential structural defects or site discrepancies early and provide prompt, practical engineering solutions.
- Enforce strict compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) protocols across all structural engineering and construction phases.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of structural calculations, design modifications, site inspection logs, and progress reports.
- Provide expert technical inputs and reports directly to the General Manager (Technical).
- Bachelor's Degree (B.Sc./B.Eng.) in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
- Mandatory professional registration with COREN.
- Minimum of 10 years of active structural engineering experience within the construction, infrastructure, or industrial sector.
- Proficiency in structural design and analysis software including AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, ETABS, or equivalent platforms.
- In-depth knowledge of Nigerian building codes and international engineering standards.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, close attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
