About the Role
Beta Glass, a proud member of the Frigoglass Group, is a strategic partner to international beverage bottlers and a leading supplier of glass packaging across West and Central Africa. We are currently looking for a dynamic Technical Procurement Supervisor to support our Technical Procurement Manager in executing critical project, CAPEX, and operational technical procurement activities. In this role, you will play a vital part in driving our manufacturing excellence by ensuring the timely delivery of machinery, equipment, spare parts, and specialized technical services for our expanding operations.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in procurement execution for CAPEX and expansion projects, including furnace rebuilds, plant upgrades, and strategic manufacturing initiatives.
- Coordinate Requests for Quotations (RFQs), technical and commercial bid evaluations, purchase order placement, and supplier follow-up.
- Expedite suppliers to ensure manufacturing, documentation, inspection, shipment, and delivery milestones align with strict project schedules.
- Liaise closely with Engineering, Projects, Finance, Treasury, Logistics, and Plant teams to guarantee seamless procurement execution.
- Prepare and consolidate comprehensive procurement and CAPEX reports, highlighting project status, key milestones, risks, and delays.
- Participate in site visits and project meetings to accurately capture technical requirements and drive accountability.
- Maintain dynamic procurement trackers to monitor milestones and deliver periodic status updates to leadership.
- Bachelor's degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Engineering, Purchasing & Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 4 to 6 years of hands-on technical procurement experience, ideally within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong technical aptitude and working knowledge of ERP software, specifically Microsoft Dynamics Navision.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
