About the Role
Excellence Community Education Welfare Scheme Ltd/Gte (ECEWS) is a leading indigenous non-profit organization dedicated to improving access to qualitative healthcare, education, and economic strengthening services in Nigeria. Our LOCATE and BRIDGE projects, funded by CDC/PEPFAR, are currently seeking a dynamic and qualified professional to join our health team as a Technical Officer - Laboratory Services. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing technical support for multidisciplinary HIV/AIDS care, working closely with health facility-based teams to implement high-quality laboratory and antiretroviral treatment services across supported locations.
Key Responsibilities- Support comprehensive laboratory service delivery activities at the facility level in alignment with project goals.
- Provide routine supportive supervision and mentorship to facility-based laboratory staff.
- Support the implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and robust quality control measures.
- Assist in tracking laboratory testing data, commodity consumption, and forecasting supply needs.
- Deliver against approved milestone plans and quarterly performance targets, integrating services across HIV, TB, malaria, and MNCH platforms.
- Facilitate capacity-building activities and training sessions for laboratory personnel to ensure service excellence.
- Possession of a first degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a closely related field from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in laboratory services, with prior experience working on donor-funded health projects strongly preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge of laboratory testing protocols, quality assurance, and safety standards.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and facilitation skills with the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
