About the Role
Excellence Community Education Welfare Scheme Ltd/Gte (ECEWS) is a leading indigenous non-profit organization dedicated to improving access to qualitative healthcare, education, and economic strengthening services in Nigeria. Our LOCATE project, a CDC/PEPFAR HIV prevention, care, and treatment initiative, is currently seeking a qualified and experienced professional to join our dynamic team and drive impactful health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical support for laboratory service delivery at the state level to ensure high standards of care.
- Conduct routine supportive supervision and mentoring on laboratory testing protocols for healthcare workers.
- Support facility laboratories in the implementation of robust quality management systems.
- Leverage laboratory data to drive program monitoring, decision-making, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Deliver against the approved GHSD milestone plan and quarterly performance targets, integrating services across HIV, TB, malaria, and MNCH platforms.
- Assist in building the capacity of laboratory personnel and progressively transfer functions to Government of Nigeria ownership.
- Possession of a first degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related scientific field.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in laboratory services, with prior experience working on USG-funded projects preferred.
- Strong, up-to-date knowledge of laboratory testing protocols and quality assurance standards.
- Demonstrated strong supervisory, mentoring, and stakeholder engagement skills.
