About the Role
Eastern Plains Integrated Farm Limited is a rapidly growing agribusiness located in Igbariam, Anambra State. We are currently seeking an experienced, technically strong Technical Manager (Processing) to oversee our poultry processing operations, drive efficiency, ensure superior product quality, maintain strict food safety, and lead continuous process improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise daily poultry processing operations to ensure maximum efficiency, exceptional quality, and minimal waste.
- Ensure full compliance with food safety, industrial hygiene, HACCP, GMP, and all relevant regulatory standards.
- Monitor processing equipment performance, cold storage facilities, and routine maintenance schedules.
- Train, mentor, and supervise processing staff on operational best practices, safety protocols, and hygiene procedures.
- Track production yield, equipment downtime, product defects, and wastage, implementing proactive improvements.
- Prepare comprehensive processing reports and collaborate closely with QA, Engineering, Sales, and regulatory bodies.
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Food Technology, Animal Science, Agricultural Engineering, Food Science, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in poultry processing, food manufacturing, or a related production environment.
- Proven expertise in managing poultry slaughterhouses or complex processing operations.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety, hygiene, HACCP, GMP, and quality management practices.
- Demonstrated success in process optimization, yield improvement, waste reduction, and production efficiency.
- Relevant professional certifications in HACCP, GMP, or Food Safety Management represent a distinct advantage.
