About the Role
Crescent Rice Mill Limited is a leading rice processing company located at KM 15, Kano - Gumel Road, Jogana, Kano, Nigeria. We are dedicated to providing high-quality rice products across the nation through advanced milling technology and a committed workforce. We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Boiler Operator to join our production plant and ensure the safe, efficient operation of our steam boilers and auxiliary equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Operate, monitor, and maintain steam boilers and related equipment such as pumps, valves, and water treatment systems to ensure continuous production.
- Monitor boiler water levels, pressure, and temperature regularly, making necessary adjustments to maintain optimal operating efficiency.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on boiler systems to identify and resolve potential mechanical issues before failure occurs.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety standards, environmental regulations, and company operating procedures at all times.
- Maintain accurate logs of boiler operations, fuel consumption, water chemistry tests, and maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and minimize operational downtime.
- Participate in shift handovers, communicating equipment status and any ongoing issues clearly to incoming operators.
- Relevant experience operating boilers within a rice mill, food processing, or similar agro-processing facility is a strong advantage.
- Good understanding of industrial machinery, thermodynamics, and production processes.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends, and thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
