About the Role
Ascentech Services Limited is currently recruiting a skilled Technical Facility Manager to direct the daily technical operations, utilities, safety protocols, and general upkeep of a major commercial shopping mall or department store in Nigeria. In this critical leadership role, you will ensure the seamless, reliable operation of all integrated building systems while optimizing energy efficiency and maintaining the highest standards of safety and tenant satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee daily technical operations, facilities maintenance, manpower allocation, and security protocols across the mall.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical faults spanning electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and refrigeration systems.
- Manage power generation assets including generators, transformers, HT/LT panels, and electrical switchgear.
- Supervise the upkeep of HVAC infrastructure, chillers, VRV systems, water treatment plants, and firefighting equipment.
- Ensure seamless operation of Building Management Systems (BMS), CCTV networks, and access control systems.
- Conduct energy audits and implement strategic measures to curtail operational costs and improve efficiency.
- Manage maintenance budgets, negotiate vendor contracts, and supervise external service contractors.
- Liaise effectively with government authorities, utility providers, tenants, and internal stakeholders.
- Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 10 years of demonstrable experience in facilities management, specifically within a large commercial mall or department store.
- Advanced hands-on troubleshooting capabilities across mechanical, electrical, and power distribution systems.
- In-depth practical knowledge of chillers, generators, fire safety compliance, and BMS platforms.
- Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary technical teams, budgets, and preventative maintenance schedules.
