About the Role
Joefelin Resources is seeking a proactive and experienced Security Supervisor to lead our security team and maintain a safe, secure environment for our guests, visitors, and staff. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing daily security operations, enforcing safety protocols, and ensuring our premises remain secure at all times. The ideal candidate will combine strong leadership abilities with a solid background in physical and technological security management, specifically within a hospitality or corporate setting in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise shifts by assigning daily tasks, strategically deploying guards to posts, and managing comprehensive work schedules.
- Train team members by coaching new hires on hotel safety policies, emergency protocols, and exceptional customer service standards.
- Monitor performance through daily briefings, attendance checks, and ensuring staff maintain a professional appearance and attitude.
- Monitor technology platforms, overseeing CCTV coverage, alarm systems, and electronic access controls.
- Inspect premises by conducting routine patrols of guest areas, public spaces, parking lots, and back-of-house zones.
- Identify hazards by spotting safety risks, broken locks, or fire hazards and coordinating immediate fixes with the maintenance department.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of proven experience in security operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of hotel safety policies, emergency response protocols, and security technologies including CCTV and access control systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to train and motivate a team.
- Ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure during emergency situations.
- Relevant certifications in security management or a related field will be an added advantage.
