About the Role
Bridgemead Consulting, on behalf of Whitehouse Design Curators, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Technical Assistant to provide robust technical leadership across our expanding portfolio of real estate development, construction, and property projects. In this pivotal role based in Nigeria, you will oversee project execution, technical due diligence, regulatory compliance, land administration, and stakeholder coordination, ensuring every development is delivered safely, efficiently, and in strict adherence to statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the planning, execution, and technical supervision of construction and development projects, guaranteeing adherence to quality, timelines, budgets, and engineering standards.
- Conduct comprehensive technical and land due diligence, including feasibility studies, structural assessments, title verification, and property acquisition evaluations.
- Coordinate planning approvals, development permits, and statutory documentation, serving as the primary liaison with Nigerian regulatory and environmental agencies.
- Review architectural, engineering, and survey drawings while developing robust technical procedures, quality assurance standards, and project governance frameworks.
- Build and manage productive relationships with contractors, architects, engineers, suppliers, and government stakeholders to resolve technical issues swiftly.
- Supervise procurement, facilities, and technical teams by evaluating contractors, promoting HSE standards, and driving operational efficiency.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, compliance documentation, and strategic recommendations for executive leadership while mentoring project teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, Building Technology, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Mandatory COREN registration; professional membership in NSE, NIA, NIS, or NIOB is a strong advantage, alongside PMP certification.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in construction, technical operations, or real estate development with multi-project management capabilities.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Nigerian Land Use Act, land acquisition, title verification, and local development control procedures.
- Proficiency in project management tools, Microsoft Office, and technical software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or ArcGIS.
