About the Role

Amaiden Energy Nigeria Limited is a premier provider of technical staffing, inspection, and procurement services to the Nigerian oil and gas industry. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced JV Drilling & Wells Cost Controller to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing effective cost control, budgeting, financial reporting, and expenditure monitoring for critical drilling and well activities, ensuring optimal financial performance and strict regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, analysis, and expenditure monitoring to support strategic decision-making processes.
  • Implement rigorous cost control measures and monitor financial KPIs to optimize financial performance and cost efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional technical teams to align financial strategies with company objectives and project goals.
  • Lead the budgeting process, cost estimation, and robust cost variance analysis to identify and address financial deviations.
  • Maintain strict contract and purchase order control, ensuring adherence to SOX compliance and internal company policies.
  • Facilitate seamless communication between finance and technical entities to maintain alignment on financial objectives and deliver actionable financial insights.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of an HND or BSc in Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in finance, accounting, and cost control functionalities within the Nigerian Oil and Gas industry.
  • Expertise in budget preparation, cost estimation, financial reporting, and cost variance analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency in SAP (specifically cost control and materials management modules) and ERP software.
  • Advanced Excel skills including PivotTables, VLOOKUP, macros, data modeling, dashboard creation, and data visualization.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills for explaining complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
