About the Role
Bridgemead Consulting, a leading business consultancy connecting top talent with innovative companies, is seeking an experienced Technical Assistant on behalf of Whitehouse Design Curators. In this pivotal role, you will provide comprehensive technical leadership across real estate development, construction, and property projects in Nigeria. You will serve as a key adviser to the Managing Director, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in strict compliance with statutory regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the technical planning, supervision, and delivery of construction and property development projects from inception to completion.
- Conduct technical due diligence, feasibility assessments, site investigations, and property acquisition reviews.
- Review architectural, structural, and engineering drawings to guarantee technical integrity and adherence to industry standards.
- Oversee land acquisition due diligence, title verification, survey plans, and coordinate essential statutory planning permits.
- Maintain strong relationships with government agencies, regulatory authorities, contractors, and technical service providers.
- Monitor project quality, timelines, budgets, and contractor performance while mitigating technical risks.
- Supervise the Procurement Manager and Facility Manager to ensure optimal resource utilisation and safe facilities.
- Develop and implement technical standard operating procedures, quality assurance processes, and project governance frameworks.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, risk assessments, and strategic recommendations for executive leadership.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, Building Technology, Quantity Surveying, or Construction Management.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in construction, engineering, or real estate development.
- Strong working knowledge of the Nigerian Land Use Act, building regulations, and statutory approval processes.
- COREN registration is required for engineering professionals, along with membership in relevant industry bodies.
- PMP or other recognized project management certification is an added advantage.
- Master’s degree or relevant postgraduate qualification is a strong plus.
