About the Role
Catholic Relief Services (CRS) is an international non-governmental organization operating relief and development programs across 99 countries worldwide. In Nigeria, CRS focuses on agriculture, HIV and health, extractives governance, and peace-building initiatives through partnerships with local organizations.
The Technical Advisor II - Systems Integration will provide expert technical guidance on information systems integration, routine program data utilization, and evidence-based planning aligned with CRS standards, donor requirements, and industry best practices. You will lead efforts to transition Nigeria FCI's hub-and-spoke models to existing national health systems while strengthening data quality, interoperability, and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategies, standards, tools, and best practices for information systems integration and data quality management
- Provide technical solutions ensuring program systems align with national HMIS, eLMIS, and Federal Ministry of Health-approved platforms
- Lead harmonization of data collection tools, reporting workflows, and indicators with national systems
- Advise project teams on integrating donor and government requirements into CRS approaches, including reporting dashboards and data-use processes
- Strengthen capacity of CRS staff, government counterparts, and partners through training, mentoring, and coaching on systems and data management
- Support knowledge management by analyzing program data, conducting quality reviews, and documenting lessons learned
- Establish and maintain strategic relationships with government bodies, technical institutions, and peer organizations
- Coordinate with MEAL and Health Systems Strengthening colleagues to ensure systems support operational readiness and long-term sustainability
- Master's Degree in Information Systems, Public Health, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field
- Minimum 8 years of progressive professional experience in program systems or data management
- Demonstrated experience providing technical assistance on donor-funded projects
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, web conferencing tools, and information management systems
- Strong mentoring, facilitation, and training capabilities using adult learning principles
- Experience with monitoring, evaluation, and routine data utilization
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, relationship-management, written, and verbal communication skills
- Fluency in English and local Nigerian languages
- Willingness to travel up to 25%
