About the Role

Join CWW Tech Africa as an IT Support/LMS Administrator and play a pivotal role in empowering African youths with in-demand digital skills. You will provide comprehensive technical support while managing our Learning Management System, ensuring smooth operations for students, facilitators, and staff. This position combines hands-on IT support with strategic LMS administration to enhance our educational technology ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver first-line technical support to students, instructors, and staff members
  • Configure, manage, and troubleshoot computers, peripherals, software, networks, and IT equipment
  • Administer the Learning Management System, including user accounts, course setup, permissions, and enrollments
  • Upload, organize, and maintain digital course materials and learning resources
  • Monitor LMS performance, system accessibility, and resolve technical issues promptly
  • Manage student and instructor account creation and access control permissions
  • Provide technical assistance during online classes, assessments, webinars, and virtual activities
  • Troubleshoot connectivity, login, software, and audio/video issues
  • Maintain IT documentation, equipment inventories, and comprehensive support records
  • Support data backup, cybersecurity initiatives, and system security protocols
  • Train staff and instructors on effective LMS and digital learning tool utilization
  • Collaborate with external IT vendors and technology service providers
  • Recommend technology improvements to enhance teaching and operational efficiency

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree, HND, diploma, or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in IT support, systems administration, or LMS administration
  • Proven hands-on experience with LMS platforms such as Moodle, Canvas, Google Classroom, or Blackboard
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities
  • Solid knowledge of computer networks, operating systems, and software installation
  • Understanding of cybersecurity, data protection, and IT best practices
  • Excellent customer service and clear communication skills
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • IT certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, Cisco, or LMS-specific) are advantageous
