About the Role
BIC Nigeria is seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Lead for Molding Operations to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will oversee daily injection molding activities, ensure optimal machine performance, and lead a team of skilled technicians and operators to achieve our production goals while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate daily molding operations to meet production targets and output efficiency.
- Ensure all molding machines are properly calibrated, and monitor cycle times, scrap rates, and cavitation.
- Lead, train, and supervise molding machine operators, supervisors, and technicians.
- Plan shift schedules, assign daily tasks, and enforce operational discipline and safety practices.
- Inspect molded components to ensure strict compliance with quality standards and troubleshoot defects promptly.
- Coordinate mold changes, installations, and collaborate with the maintenance team for preventive repairs.
- Prepare and submit accurate daily, weekly, and monthly production and downtime reports.
- HND or Bachelor's degree in any Engineering discipline.
- 7 to 10 years of proven experience in injection molding operations within plastics manufacturing.
- Minimum of 5 years in a supervisory or team lead capacity.
- Strong technical expertise in setting molding parameters and troubleshooting defects.
