Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and prospect new lubricant customers across diverse sales channels while developing innovative avenues for market expansion.
  • Design and execute aggressive growth strategies to increase lubricant market share within the automotive, industrial, and marine sectors.
  • Guarantee high customer retention rates by conducting routine monthly lubricant performance reviews and fostering robust client relationships.
  • Establish clear sales targets, KPIs, and performance metrics for the broader lubricant business unit.
  • Resolve complex customer complaints and field performance issues promptly in direct partnership with internal technical teams.
  • Formulate precise specifications for required lubricant grades, including synthetic base stocks and multi-grade formulations like 5w30 and 5w40.
  • Collaborate closely with product development teams and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to secure vital product approvals and certifications.
  • Deliver expert technical advisory services regarding lubricant selection, application optimization, and overall performance to strategic partners.
  • Perform comprehensive market analysis to monitor competitor activities, shifting customer demands, and emerging industry trends.

Qualifications
  • Possess a good university degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
  • Demonstrate 8 to 12 years of post-graduation experience combining technical lubricant expertise with robust commercial marketing experience.
  • Exemplify comprehensive product knowledge, strategic marketing capabilities, and a profound understanding of the Nigerian downstream oil and gas industry.
  • Demonstrate advanced proficiency in operational planning, scheduling, sales forecasting, and cross-functional team leadership.
  • Exhibit exceptional negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills tailored to industrial B2B environments.
