Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers Limited is looking for a visionary and results-driven Lead Data Scientist to spearhead our advanced analytics and artificial intelligence initiatives. In this pivotal role, you will leverage cutting-edge machine learning algorithms, predictive modeling, and data visualization tools to solve complex business challenges and accelerate strategic growth across our operations in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage end-to-end data science and AI projects from initial conception through to successful deployment.
- Develop robust predictive models, machine learning algorithms, and advanced analytics solutions to optimize business processes.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and coaching to a team of talented Data Scientists while promoting industry best practices.
- Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure optimal quality, high performance, maintainability, and adherence to rigorous coding standards.
- Collaborate closely with diverse business units and senior stakeholders to translate strategic requirements into impactful data-driven solutions.
- Drive comprehensive data quality improvement initiatives and actively support enterprise-wide data governance frameworks.
- Manage team resources, workloads, project schedules, and continuous performance development activities.
- Prepare and present compelling analytical findings and strategic recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Possession of a First Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related quantitative field.
- Relevant professional certifications such as Certified Analytics Professional (CAP), Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Scientist Associate, or Google Data Analytics Certificate.
- Extensive hands-on experience in data science, statistical modeling, machine learning, and advanced programming tools including Python, SQL, Power BI, and Microsoft Power Platform.
