We are currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven professional to take on the role of Team Lead Commercial Banking Officer in Kano.

In this strategic leadership position, you will spearhead commercial lending initiatives, nurture high-value client relationships, and ensure seamless branch operations while adhering to regulatory standards and driving profitability across our retail and commercial product portfolios.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development, risk analysis, and performance tracking of retail and commercial banking products to meet market demands.
  • Drive strategic client acquisition, relationship management, and retention through tailored financial solutions and regular stakeholder engagements.
  • Conduct comprehensive credit risk assessments, financial statement analysis, and structure credit proposals and loan facilities.
  • Oversee branch operations, cash management, vault security protocols, and implement process improvements for enhanced customer experience.
  • Proactively resolve customer complaints, leveraging feedback to optimize service delivery and identify cross-selling opportunities.
  • Monitor fintech trends and digital banking developments to recommend operational enhancements and promote digital channel adoption.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with banking operations policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Banking and Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 to 8 years of cognate experience in commercial banking, credit analysis, or relationship management.
  • Relevant professional qualifications such as CIBN, ICAN, ACA, or ACCA are strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in credit underwriting, commercial lending, and team leadership.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and strategic problem-solving skills.
