About the Role
HRLeverage Africa is recruiting an experienced Practice & Technical Support Manager – Tax Practice on behalf of our esteemed client. In this pivotal role, you will lead the technical and operational management of the firm's tax practice, ensuring exceptional service delivery and fostering strategic growth.
Key Responsibilities- Review tax computations, advisory work, and compliance assignments covering CIT, VAT, WHT, PAYE, and other applicable taxes.
- Provide expert technical guidance on Nigerian tax laws, regulations, and tax authority directives.
- Manage end-to-end client engagements, ensuring timely, high-quality delivery and accurate engagement files.
- Coordinate tax audits, investigations, queries, objections, and correspondence with relevant tax authorities.
- Monitor team workload, performance, and professional development while coaching junior staff.
- Support business development initiatives through client meetings, proposals, presentations, and identifying additional tax opportunities.
- Prepare comprehensive monthly reports covering WIP, deliverables, tax issues, staff utilisation, and client feedback.
- Bachelor Degree or HND in Accounting or a related field.
- Mandatory membership of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN).
- MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant tax experience within a tax advisory, accounting, or consulting firm.
- Strong expertise in Nigerian tax laws, compliance, audits, and tax authority engagements.
