About the Role

Slum2School Africa is a leading volunteer-driven developmental organization founded in 2012, dedicated to transforming society by empowering disadvantaged children to realize their full potential. We address severe educational shortcomings in Africa by providing scholarships, creating innovative learning spaces, and offering vital psychosocial support to vulnerable children in slums and indigent communities. We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance Manager to join our passionate team in Nigeria and help us scale our impact through sound financial stewardship.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning for the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory financial regulations, Nigerian tax laws, and donor reporting requirements.
  • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management and the board of directors.
  • Manage internal controls, risk management procedures, and coordinate internal and external audits.
  • Monitor project expenditures and grant funding to ensure resources are utilized efficiently and transparently.
  • Collaborate with the fundraising and leadership teams to develop financial strategies for new community initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field; a Master's degree is an added advantage.
  • Professional certification such as ACA, ACCA, or CPA is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven financial management experience, preferably within the non-profit or NGO sector.
  • Strong proficiency in financial software, MS Excel, and ERP systems.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and leadership skills with high ethical standards.
