About the Role
Updeal Resources is partnering with a reputable professional services firm to recruit a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Tax Executive. In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering exceptional tax compliance and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of corporate clients, ensuring full adherence to Nigerian tax laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and review tax computations, returns, schedules, and supporting documentation for corporate clients.
- Handle end-to-end tax compliance activities, including VAT, WHT, PAYE, Companies Income Tax, and other statutory levies.
- Conduct thorough tax research and provide robust support on complex tax advisory matters.
- Assist with tax audits, regulatory investigations, and official correspondence with relevant tax authorities such as the FIRS.
- Monitor ongoing changes in Nigerian tax legislation and assess their direct impact on client operations.
- Review financial and accounting records to identify potential tax exposures, risks, and strategic planning opportunities.
- Support senior team members in preparing comprehensive tax advisory reports, opinions, and client presentations.
- Maintain accurate, well-organized, and up-to-date tax records and documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Taxation, or a related discipline.
- 2 to 4 years of hands-on professional experience in tax, audit, or accounting within a reputable professional services firm.
- Active professional certification including ICAN, ACCA, CITN, or an equivalent recognized body.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Nigerian tax laws, regulatory frameworks, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, accounting systems, and modern tax management software.
- Exceptional analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail.
