About the Role

Sterling Health HMO is a leading National Health Insurance Agency (NHIA)-accredited Health Maintenance Organization dedicated to delivering exceptional healthcare services nationwide since 2007. We are currently looking for a dedicated and experienced Hospital Accounts Officer to join our dynamic finance team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining financial accuracy, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring seamless financial operations between our organization and healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts receivable and accounts payable relating to hospital and provider networks.
  • Perform accurate bank reconciliations and verify financial data against internal records and HMO policies.
  • Process healthcare provider claims, invoice verifications, and financial settlements in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, budgets, and audits.
  • Maintain proper financial documentation and ensure compliance with NHIA regulations and internal accounting standards.
  • Collaborate with the medical and administrative departments to resolve billing discrepancies and payment queries.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of a Bachelor Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Proven working experience as an Accounts Officer, preferably within a hospital, HMO, or healthcare management setting.
  • Strong proficiency in accounting software, Microsoft Excel, and general financial management tools.
  • Excellent analytical skills, high attention to detail, and strong numerical aptitude.
  • Good understanding of NHIA guidelines and Nigerian healthcare financial operations is a strong advantage.
  • Candidates residing within close proximity to the office location will have a distinct advantage.
